Austin Hensley brings enthusiasm to the courts!
Austin Hensley, Director of Tennis & Head Pro
Graduating from Xavier University with a degree in Marketing , Austin grew his tennis experience as the Youth Development Coach at Camargo Country Club of Indian Hill, OH, one of the top 100 Country Clubs in the world. He also was the Assistant Director of Tennis at Losantiville Country Club in Cincinnati, OH which set him up for the adventure he has taken on at UNCA as the Assistant Coach of the Men’s & Women’s teams. For the last 2 seasons, Austin has helped to lead the Men’s team to be #1 in the nation in Doubles!

Hello caring members of Laurel Ridge Country Club,
First off, I hope this email finds you well! I have certainly enjoyed the beautiful weather we had this weekend as I am sure you have. Allow me to introduce myself my name is Austin Hensley and I’ll be the new Director of Tennis at Laurel Ridge Country Club this Season. I graduated from Xavier University and am currently the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at UNC Asheville and have been for the last 2 years. Our Men’s Team is number 1 in the nation in doubles this year!
A lot of great things are happening around Laurel Ridge that is going to make this season very special and exciting. Kelly Polk is returning as my assistant and we are beyond ready to kick start tennis and work with all of you!
In a few weeks we will be releasing more information about our tennis events, court reservation instructions, and opportunities for you to enjoy tennis…so watch your email! You will soon be able to sign up for a lesson, join our Group Clinics, burn a few calories in our Cardio Clinics, or come socialize during Happy Hour. There’s something for everyone and we hope to see everyone out there.

KELLY POLK RETURNS AS ASSISTANT TENNIS PRO
Kelly Polk, Asst. Tennis Pro
Assisting Austin in the role of Assistant Tennis Pro, Kelly returns with plans to grow the Adult Women’s Program, help develop Junior Tennis Programs and maintain the courts for exceptional play. You will see her at clinics, exhibitions and socials, working closely with Austin.
An active USTA member, Kelly’s coaching style emphasizes the importance of footwork, grip, style development strategy and patience in the game. She is in the process of receiving her USPTA certification.

HAPPENING AT THE LRCC COURTS
We are pleased to offer our tennis members a full season of activities starting soon including:
- Weekly cardio tennis
- High school & middle school student clinics
- Group & private lessons
Keep in mind, the following dates are tentative and subject to change. Austin & Kelly will be adding lots of opportunities to learn, perhaps for the first time, and play the game you love. So please watch for updates!
