Weekly Superintendent’s Update 2/5/16

Beautiful weather early this week allowed the golf course maintenance crew to get caught up on some needed mowing tasks.  We had two great days to mow all of the golf course rough, greens and tees.  Wednesday was a washout on the course due to 2.5″ rainfall.  Two employees used the time to pack and replace bearings on our Lastec mower.  Thursday I only had two guys, so we spent all day cleaning up the clubhouse area and the course from wind damage debris and overflow water.  On Friday, my staff got back to tree cutting on #16.  A member has allowed us to cut some trees on his property that have grown into the flight of the tee shot on #16.  One of my employees will work this weekend prepping the course and next week we will finish #16 and #17, assuming the forecasted snowfall on Monday and Tuesday doesn’t hinder work.
