LRCC is pleased to offer a variety of fitness classes for member participation.
CORE/POSTURE/BALANCE DEVELOPMENT: Mike Simonson will teach his beneficial class at LRCC on Tuesdays at 10 am. Mike is a personal fitness trainer and can help you achieve results by addressing your individual needs. He will instruct members as he teaches his students at the Fitness Connection to use good form and body mechanics for the most benefit. He will share his weight and resistance training skills and techniques that he has used for many years.
PILATES MAT: Erin Owen already has a great following at Laurel Ridge. She teaches how to improve flexibility and balance in this well-rounded, challenging and invigorating class on Mondays at 5:45 pm. Erin is owner of Waynesville Pilates.
BASIC/INTERMEDIATE PILATES: Erin Owen prioritizes safety so this class is appropriate for low bone density. The class is offered Friday mornings at 10:30 am and has a deliberate pace, similar to the other mat classes she teaches.
TRX: Eileen Corbin, also from the Fitness Connection, will continue her weekly class on Wednesday mornings at 9 am. TRX is a new and different approach to fitness for men and women, also known as Suspension Training, that is safe regardless of age, gender or fitness level.
